Solt 3-in-1 Windows Tablet Launched; Rs. 19,450

GlobalSpace Technologies, an Indian technology firm, has launched a new tablet in the market. The device is named ‘SOLT’ and costs Rs. 19,450. It is available for sale on Snapdeal and Amazon India.

A distinguishing feature of the tablet is its 3-in-1 usability. The device can be used as a tablet, laptop and desktop. It comes with a keyboard dock for use as a laptop. A larger dock is also available which features 4 USB slots, RJ 45 connector, 8-Watt speakers and an optional 500 GB SATA hard drive storage. The keyboard also features a touchpad and left and right-click buttons.

The Solt 3-in-1 tablet comes with a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution and is powered by a 64-bit Intel Bay Trail Atom Z3735G processor running at 1.33 GHz. There is also 2 GB of DDR3L RAM clocked at 1333 MHz and Intel HD Graphics.


The convertible tablet comes with a decent 64GB of inbuilt storage. It also has a microSD slot using which the storage can be expanded to 128 GB.

The device also features a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. A 7900 mAh battery completes the package. The power pack provides 8-10 hours of backup during normal usage and 60-72 hours in standby mode. The tablet will support 3G SIM. The device weighs 615 grams and comes with one-year free insurance. Physically, it measures 258×172.6×9.8mm and is available in Carbon Black colour.

To manage the device, users can download ‘MySolt app’ which is available from Windows or Android store. The app comes with a chat option using which users can connect with customer support and get information such as device settings and remote diagnostics. The bundled service app also comes with a large referral section which will held in answer everyday questions.

The tablet runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing. The operating system can be upgraded to Windows 10 as well.
