Motorola’s Moto X Force shatterproof phone is now up for sale at more than 400 retail stores across India. The Moto X Force was available exclusively through e-commerce sites till now. Motorola has announced that it will continue selling the phone through e-commerce partners i.e. Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal. Now, the phone will also be up for grabs at general trade and large format chains like Croma, Spice Hotspot, Vijay Sales & Poorvika.
Moto X Force is priced at Rs. 49999. It is the world’s first smartphone which comes with a shatterproof screen. The phone was launched in India in February.
The Moto X Force features a 5.4 inch QuadHD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and 544ppi. The phone is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded to 2 TB using microSD card.
The phone boasts a 21-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The phone supports 4G LTE and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The OS can be further upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshamallow.
The phone is powered by a 3760 mAh battery which supports TurboCharging technology. The battery can be charged using the provided TurboCharger in 15 minutes to provide a backup of 15 hours.
The Motorola Moto X Force is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
